The Egg

Here are photos from a photo assignment I did for my Intro to Photojournalism class. Our subject was an egg. We were told to work with lighting, shape and form.

Bryan College XC

A couple weekends ago, I went to Rome, GA to support my boys on the Bryan College Cross Country (BCXC) Team. They all ran so well and WON in the Men's race. Here are some good photos from that day. Some are of the team and some are of the coach's sons.

The LD Festivities

Sunday night I spent at a friends' house and enjoyed the festivities of Labor Day with some good company. Most of the photographs are a bit blurry, which is not a bad thing, especially for this kind of setting. i really like the idea of people looking at these photos and thinking, "Oh, these people are dancing", or "Hey, that guy is hugging his girlfriend". Motion is something that is very essential to photography. Well the type of photography that includes the "Defining Moment" or the "Magic Moment". So enjoy the motion in these next photographs and really think about what was going on during these.

This photo was taken by: Jonathan C. Mansfield (I just really liked it.)

Michael

Right before I left for school at Western Kentucky University to study Photojournalism, I was commissioned by a best friend to take photographs for his sister of her and her husband's new baby boy. So Labor Day rolls around and I meet up with them to take the pictures. Courtney and Brian's baby, Michael, is 11 Weeks old and had had a long day so he was a bit tired, but I was able to get some good photos of the family and Michael. What a beautiful family!

Frisbee Tourny

This past Saturday and Sunday, my cousin Kelsey, had an Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. Wanting to see her, I stopped by and watched some awesome games being played. Some of the teams were there just to play some games and practice their teamwork, while other teams were there to make it to nationals. The photos that I shot show true athleticism as far as ultimate is concerned. Enjoy!

Nighttime Play

This past weekend, I went home for Labor Day. I spent a couple nights taking photos of the moonlight and of fire tricks. My creativity didn't quite reach is full potential, but I tried. My friend decided that to get some good photos of fire, we had to make it a big fire. So he grabbed a can of WD-40. The pictures that follow are the result. The pictures at the end are some that I took on the bulb setting, so the light from the moon (that was very full and very bright I might add) make it look like it is daylight outside. When really it was 2:00 am. Don't believe me? Just check them out.....
